Since the purchase of Meraki in August of 2024, The Captains Cook have uprooted from their homes in Santa Barbara and have relocated to Fiji where they are kicking off their cruising adventure.

Where will the wind take us? Remote Fiji? New Zealand? South and more east from there to begin the tropical loop in the Marquesas? Will Kelli finally get to Papua New Guinea? Who will we meet, what kind of crazy shenanigans will we get into and where the hell will we find work along the way?

In this current climate, the ocean feels like the last frontier.

It’s huge. It’s unpredictable and we intend on scouring some of the most remote locations we can get to before they are gone or changed forever. As we are cruising we are keeping our eyes open for how we can best contribute to the communities we’re in and the people that we meet. Stay tuned for how you can participate!
